This painting was performed on Columbia St. Covington, LA, as a part of a 30 minute live painting contest. The contest was for the St. Tammany Parish Fall for Art: Artist Quickfire contest and fundraiser. The painting will be auctioned later to raise funds for the art house.
The inspiration for the painting comes from the Knife to Flowers series I have been developing this year. The flower wants your attention, cut only for show. The waters edge just over the sill and the water‘s impressions of sunlit clouds and spring foliage are all that is now.
